About me

My name is Myrthe, and I’m a  PhD student from the Netherlands who loves history, sewing, folk dance and photography. This blog was created as a portfolio for my photography work. I’m interested in model photography, but also love pretty flowers, nature and old buildings. You’ll also find many images of the castle De Haar, where I’m one of the tour guides in weekends. Generally, I love capturing beauty and telling stories. I’m always looking to do new things and work mostly on TFCD basis, so anyone interested in working with me, let me know!

About the name:

Saule is a goddess from Baltic mythology. I’ve always loved mythological stories for their magic and history. Saule is the goddess of the sun, and of snakes. I’ve always loved the name and liked its connection to light, as the base of photography. Also, my Chinese zodiac is a snake, which is a nice coincidence.
